It depends on the antenna model. The short loop antenna reads FDX-B tags at 13–18 cm and HDX tags at 18–20 cm. The long loop antenna extends that to 33–40 cm for FDX-B and 28–46 cm for HDX. The panel antenna offers limited dynamic reading for stationary setups.

No, that's one of the biggest advantages of the HHR 3000 Pro. It combines the reader and data recording into a single handheld unit. You can scan, record animal data, and store it all on the device without any additional equipment in the field.

Yes. The HHR 3000 Pro is CCIA Listed and reads ISO 11784/11785 HDX and FDX-B transponders, which are the standard for Canadian cattle identification. Age verification directly to CCIA is also coming soon as a future software update.

Connect the scanner to your PC via USB 2.0 (or optionally via Bluetooth). The included basic PC program transfers your animal records directly into an Excel spreadsheet, complete with automatic date and time stamps for each entry.
